Are you looking for a safe and nurturing environment for your child? At Building Futures Child Care Center, we understand that choosing the right care for your child is a big decision. That's why we've compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help you make an informed choice. From health and safety measures to curriculum and extracurricular programs, we're here to answer all your questions and provide the best care for your child.

  • Is Building Futures Child Care Center licensed?
    Building Futures Child Care Center is fully licensed in the State of Ohio. Portage County also conducts annual and semi-annual licensing visits to ensure that our facility is fully compliant with state laws and regulations. If you have any additional questions about our licensing, please reach out directly to our facility.
  • What are your child care rates?
    Building Futures Child Care Center offers comparable rates to other facilities in the area. Our tuition is unique to each child's level of care and attendance. Contact our facility to learn more or to schedule a tour.
  • Do you currently have a waiting list?
    Currently Building Futures Child Care Center does not have a waiting list. This may change on a weekly basis depending on current enrollment needs. Contact our facility directly to learn about our enrollment process.
  • What types of qualifications do Building Futures Child Care Center's staff and care givers have?
    Our experienced staff and care givers meet all state and/or local regulations and have access to continuous training in first aid, CPR and communicable diseases. We train our staff on a regular basis in health and safety regulations, education standards and more.
  • What is the staff-to-child ratio at Building Futures Child Care Center?
    At Building Futures Child Care Center, we prioritize the safety and well-being of the children in our care. Our staff-to-child ratio is maintained at levels that meet or exceed state regulations, ensuring that each child receives the individual attention they need. For example, in our infant rooms, the ratio is 1:5, for toddlers, is 1:7 and for Preschoolers is: 1:12. We believe in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for every child, and our careful staffing ratios reflect our commitment to this goal.
  • What supplies do I need to provide for my child?
    At Building Futures Child Care Center we ask that you please provide any necessary personal supplies for your child. Parents are responsible for bringing in an individual supply of diapers, wipes, a change of clothing and naptime bedding. For infants, please supply filled bottles, baby food jars and any additional supplies that will provide comfort to your child. For toddlers and older children we ask that parents supply a blanket and/or sleeping bag. Please contact us for any additional details regarding provided meals and snacks.
